Heating Automation and Camera Integration Tips

Hi everyone, I’ve been exploring ways to optimize my smart home setup and thought I’d share some of my experiences and questions. First, I’ve been working on automating my heating system to turn off when the outside temperature consistently exceeds 15°C for a week. I’ve tried using counters, but they don’t seem reliable. Does anyone have a better solution? I’ve come across some flows on Homey that might help, but I’m curious if there’s a more efficient method.

Another area I’m diving into is integrating IP cameras into my Homey setup. I have a mix of outdoor and indoor cameras from different brands, but I’m struggling to find the right apps to connect them seamlessly. For instance, my Floureon outdoor camera and 7Links Pearl indoor cameras work well with Alexa, but I’d love to have them fully integrated into Homey. I’ve tried the Ring Doorbell app, but it’s not very user-friendly. Any recommendations or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

On a lighter note, I came across a clever hack for hiding a Wyze camera. By enclosing it in a painted utility box with tinted plexiglass, it blends perfectly with my home’s exterior. The camera’s reflection makes it nearly invisible, which is a great way to maintain privacy while keeping an eye on things. I’d love to hear if anyone else has creative solutions for discreetly installing cameras.

Lastly, I’m curious about others’ experiences with heating automation and camera integration. Have you found any apps or methods that work exceptionally well? I’m also interested in learning if anyone has successfully integrated multiple camera brands into a single system. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out! Thanks for your insights and support.
