Heating System Integration and Room Air Circulation

Hello everyone, I’ve been working on integrating my heating system into my smart home setup using HomeMatic IP, and I must say, it’s been a fascinating journey. I’ve managed to set up thermostats, window contacts, and a temperature regulator, which has given me a lot of control over my home’s climate. However, I’ve hit a bit of a snag with my heating units, and I’m hoping the community can offer some advice.

The issue I’m facing is that my four radiators aren’t positioned near windows, which means the heat they emit doesn’t circulate well throughout the room. I’ve tried setting up schedules with my current setup, but it just doesn’t seem to make a difference. The warm air just sits around the radiator, leaving the rest of the room feeling chilly. I’ve heard that HomeMatic IP is much better than the Fritzbox I was using before, but I’m still struggling with this specific problem.

I’ve already invested in two thermostats and some window contacts, and I’m planning to get four more thermostats to cover all my radiators. But I’m really curious if there’s a smarter way to make the heat distribute more evenly without just adding more thermostats. Maybe there’s a clever automation or a trick I haven’t thought of yet.

Another thing I’m considering is upgrading my smoke detectors to be compatible with my smart home system, but that’s a project for the future. For now, I’m focused on getting my heating system to work as efficiently as possible. I’d really appreciate any tips or experiences others have had with similar setups. This community has always been so helpful, and I’m hopeful I can find a solution here.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer! I’m really looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
