Higher wattage LED controller?

Hello, all.

I am doing a renovation in Europe and installing Aqara switch H2 EU throughout the apartment. All will be in Zigbee mode as I have an M3 hub.

I will be using an LED strip as a primary light source, so I cannot use the standard Aqara LED T1 kit. It seems that the Aqara ZNDDODO12LM is a 120W driver but it’s unclear if it will only work with my region set to China or if the European market can add it as well.

I do also have an HA Green hub and I see that z2mqtt could handle the device:

If I have to choose between:

  • Aqara driver via z2mqtt on HA Green
  • Matter LED controller bound to M3 hub

… which would be the way to go? I see posts about the Matter LED controllers working fine with the M3 hub, so I assume it may work just fine too.

Thank you!

Hi, in the European region Zigbee will not work 100%

That’s a start - thank you.

Any thoughts then on the questions I posed at the bottom of my post?
