Hey everyone, I’ve been having a bit of trouble with my HMIP-PSM-CH device and thought I’d share my experience in case someone else has encountered the same issue.
So, I’ve been using this smart plug for a while now, and I absolutely love how it integrates with my smart home setup. The ability to monitor power consumption is a huge plus, especially for keeping track of energy usage. However, there’s one feature that’s been a bit of a thorn in my side—the power consumption settings.
Initially, I set it up to use the average power consumption value, which worked perfectly fine. But I decided I wanted to switch to the maximum value to get a better sense of peak usage. I went through the settings, changed it to maximum, saved the changes, and closed the app. But when I checked back later, it was still showing the average value. Frustrating, right?
I tried everything I could think of—deleting the device and re-adding it, restarting the app, even resetting the device itself. Nothing worked. It always reverted back to the average value. I was starting to think there might be a bug in the app or maybe a glitch with the device itself.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? I’d love to hear if there’s a workaround or a fix for this. I’m really hoping it’s just a minor oversight and not a more significant issue.
On a more positive note, I’ve been blown away by how reliable this device is otherwise. The app is user-friendly, the integration with my other smart home devices is seamless, and the energy monitoring feature is incredibly helpful. It’s just a shame about this one setting.
If anyone has any tips or solutions, I’d be more than grateful to hear them! Let’s hope we can get this sorted out soon. ![]()
