HMIP Wlan Access Point - Internet Outage Recovery Issues

Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to see if anyone else has encountered and potentially resolved an issue I’m facing with my HMIP Wlan Access Points. I currently have three installations running across different locations, all relying on these access points to connect to the cloud. While the local setup and operation have been smooth, I’ve been consistently struggling with a particular problem at all three sites.

The issue arises whenever there’s even a brief interruption in my internet connection—just a few minutes can cause the entire HMIP installation to go offline permanently. The app alerts me with ‘Access Point not connected,’ and unfortunately, reconnecting isn’t straightforward. Even if the internet stabilizes for hours afterward, the connection doesn’t resume on its own. I’ve noticed that manually restarting the access point each day is the only reliable way to restore functionality, which feels less than ideal.

I’m curious to know if others are experiencing the same behavior and if there’s a more elegant solution than manually resetting the device every morning. It would be fantastic to find a way to automate this process or at least reduce the downtime caused by these brief internet outages.
