Hi everyone, I hope this post finds you all well! I’ve been diving into the world of Home Assistant lately and I’m absolutely loving it. However, I’ve hit a bit of a snag that I’m hoping the community can help me with.
So, here’s the situation: I have two homes that are side by side, and I need to split my Home Assistant setup between them. Currently, all my devices are on a single HA instance, but I want to migrate some of them to a new instance. The ideal scenario would be to manage both servers from a single Home Assistant app, but I’m not sure if that’s possible.
The main challenge I’m facing is figuring out the easiest way to move these devices without having to completely relearn everything. The network setup is already in place since both houses share a router, so that part should be straightforward. I’ve heard about some tools and integrations that might help, but I’m not entirely sure which ones to use.
I’ve tried looking through the documentation and some forum posts, but I’m still a bit overwhelmed. Has anyone else gone through a similar process? Any tips or tricks you’d be willing to share? I’d love to hear about your experiences, especially if you’ve managed to keep things running smoothly during the transition.
On a lighter note, I’ve been really impressed with how customizable Home Assistant is. Even though I’m still learning the ropes, it’s amazing to see how much control I have over my smart home setup. I can’t wait to dive deeper into all the possibilities!
Thanks in advance for any advice or guidance you can offer. Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out as we explore the world of smart home automation! ![]()
