Home Automation Tips: Energy Management and Device Notifications

I’ve recently had a lot of fun setting up my home automation system, particularly focusing on energy management. It’s amazing how much insight I’ve gained into my energy usage, which has already started helping me save on my bills! :earth_africa::sparkles:

One thing I’m curious about is how others manage low-battery notifications for their smart devices, especially Fobs. I’ve been using my Nuki Smart Lock, and while it’s fantastic, I’d love to get a heads-up before the battery dies. Has anyone figured out a reliable way to set this up? Maybe through the app or some integration with Home Assistant?

On a related note, I stumbled upon a neat trick for custom energy tariffs in Home Assistant. By setting up a template sensor, I can track my electricity costs based on peak and off-peak rates. It’s been a game-changer for budgeting! :bulb:

If you have any other tips or experiences to share about optimizing your smart home setup, I’d love to hear them! It’s incredible how these small tweaks can make such a big difference in managing and enjoying our smart homes. :tada:
