I recently installed a home security system with 3 outdoor cameras, 3 indoor cameras, 2 sirens, and 2 door sensors. While it was exciting to set everything up, I’ve encountered a few issues that I’d like to share and perhaps get some advice on. First, the sirens aren’t triggering an audible alarm when I select ‘all devices’ in the app, even after adjusting the volume settings. However, individual siren tests work fine. Second, the indoor cameras are overly sensitive—Detecting minor light changes or even an arachnid as motion, which is quite amusing but also annoying. Third, the outdoor cameras frequently disconnect, and reconnecting them has become a frustrating task. Despite these challenges, I’ve learned a few tricks, like adjusting sensitivity settings and ensuring a stable Wi-Fi connection. I’d love to hear how others have resolved similar issues or improved their systems. Let’s share tips and make our smart homes truly secure and reliable! ![]()
