Hi all, I’m new to setting up a home security system and I’m really excited to get started! I’ve been doing some research and I want to create a setup that includes cameras, motion sensors, and maybe some smart locks. I currently have a few Amazon Echo devices and I love how they integrate with my existing smart home setup.
I’ve been looking into getting some security cameras, but I’m not sure which brand would work best with my current system. I’ve heard good things about Ring and Arlo, but I’m also considering some budget-friendly options. Do any of you have experience with specific brands that integrate well with Alexa and other smart home devices?
Another thing I’m curious about is motion sensors. I’ve seen some that can detect motion and even differentiate between people and pets. That would be really helpful for my situation since I have a dog. I’d love to hear any recommendations or tips on setting those up.
I’m also thinking about adding smart locks to my doors. I’m not sure if it’s worth the investment, but the idea of being able to lock and unlock my doors from my phone or through voice commands sounds amazing. Has anyone here tried this and would recommend it?
