HomeGuardian AI

I have about 8 Aqara cameras that I bought last year and several are configured for HKSV. I have three cameras that record videos to a NAS 24/7 so I can get the full 4K. It works quite well but I manually have to go through these videos looking at the first frame to see if there is a person or animal in the frame which indicates a video that I want to capture. I suspect there’s a way to have these videos marked with a tag that says it contains a person or animal. Is this what HomeGuardian does? I don’t want to sign up for it (especially since there doesn’t seem to be a trial period) and then realize that it doesn’t work for that. Thanks.

Yes, that’s exactly one of the things HomeGuardian helps with. I use it myself and you can search recordings using AI tags like person, animal, vehicle, package, etc., which makes finding specific events much easier instead of manually checking footage frame by frame.

For me, it works pretty well for quickly filtering recordings and locating the clips I actually want to keep.

Hello, in Aqara home it is here. If there is a subscription, you can insert related events for control. G5 writes only events. Other cameras that have a memory slot can record in a circle, with event marking. Without a subscription, the choice is smaller, it depends on the type of video camera.

Excellent. This is what I was hoping for. Are the events embedded as Finder tags?
