We do not have a large house, but the way our house is laid out on our corner lot makes it difficult to hear people drive up when we are in the pool in the back yard. The fact that we did not have a door bell when we moved in did not help matters.
We are pretty deep into the HomeKit infrastructure, so finding a battery-operated HomeKit doorbell was near-impossible. Aqara to the rescue!
Now, when we are out back and someone rings the doorbell, it not only rings to the HomePod Mini out back by the pool, but it also rings to the AppleTV on the deck (With Video !!!)! Aqara for the win!
Side Bonus: when someone rings the same doorbell at night, it triggers a scene to boost the light level for 10 minutes, just to keep things safe. Win win!
