Hi everyone, I’m really excited to share my recent experience integrating my Homematic CCU2 with smart lighting solutions. As a homeowner who loves tinkering with home automation, I’ve been exploring ways to enhance my lighting setup without major renovations. My apartment has a combination of light switches and power outlets in a single frame, which I’ve been told is a series switch setup. I have two light sources: one for my ceiling lamp and another for my ceiling fan, which I control with a remote. The fan’s switch is always on, so I’ve been looking for a way to integrate my ceiling lamp with my Homematic system for more seamless control.
I came across some actuators on the Homematic website, but I’m not entirely sure which one would work best for my setup. I’d love to hear from anyone who has successfully integrated similar systems. If there’s a solution out there, I’d appreciate a simple explanation of how to go about it. I’m really hoping to find a way to make this work without getting too deep into the technicalities!
On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with creating morning routines using my Echo device. I’ve managed to get it to play a nice greeting, but I’m struggling with dynamically pulling in weather updates and commute times. It’s a bit of a puzzle, but I’m determined to figure it out. If anyone has tips or tricks for setting up dynamic text-to-speech announcements, I’d be thrilled to hear them.
Thanks in advance for your help and insights! ![]()
