As a new user of Homematic devices, I’ve had both successes and challenges in setting up my smart home system. One of my first projects was integrating HM-LC-Sw2-FM and HM-PB-2-WM55 in two separate rooms. In Room 1, I successfully paired the devices and controlled the lights without needing the CCU2. However, when I tried the same setup in Room 2 using CCU2 first, I couldn’t pair them directly afterward. After some research and experimentation, I found that unlearning the devices from CCU2 and then pairing them first before re-registering them solved the issue. This experience taught me the importance of understanding the setup order and device learning processes in Homematic systems.
