Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent success with integrating my Homematic devices into the Alexa ecosystem. It’s been a journey, but the result is truly seamless control right from my voice commands!
So, here’s the setup: I’ve got a Speedport Smart 3 router with a Homematic IP-Stick, all neatly registered through Magenta Smart. My initial goal was to control my Homematic roller shutters using Alexa. I’ve heard great things about the integration potential, but I had to figure out the activation key part myself.
After some research, I stumbled upon the Homematic IP app, which turned out to be the key (pun intended). The process involved entering the device number of my Access Point, which was a bit tricky because of the long serial number. But once I got past that, everything fell into place!
Now, being able to say, ‘Alexa, open the living room blinds’ feels like magic. It’s such a small thing, but it adds so much convenience to my daily routine. I’m especially impressed with how responsive the integration is—no delays or hiccups so far.
