I’ve been using the Homematic Wired System for quite some time now, and I must say, it’s been a rock-solid choice for my smart home setup. The wired connection offers unparalleled reliability, and I’ve never experienced any lag or connectivity issues, which is a huge plus in my book. The system’s integration with other components has been seamless, and I love how everything works together so effortlessly.
However, I can’t help but notice that there haven’t been any new wired components released for quite some time. While I understand that the market is shifting more towards wireless solutions, I still believe there’s a strong case for wired systems, especially for those of us who prioritize reliability and long-term stability. The wired setup just feels more permanent and less prone to interference, which is something I highly value.
One area where I think Homematic could really shine is in expanding their wired RGBW dimmer offerings. I’ve seen some really impressive solutions from competitors like Loxone, and it would be fantastic to have something similar available for Homematic users. The ability to control RGBW lighting with precision and ease would add a whole new level of flexibility to the system, especially for those looking to create dynamic lighting scenarios.
For now, I’m making do with the existing components and supplementing them with a few wireless devices where necessary. It’s a bit of a workaround, but it gets the job done. I’m hopeful that Homematic will revisit their wired product line in the future and consider adding some of these much-requested features. Until then, I’ll continue to enjoy the reliability and performance that my Homematic system provides.
If anyone else has experiences or insights to share about their Homematic setup, especially regarding wired components, I’d love to hear about them! Let’s keep the discussion going and maybe inspire some positive changes in the product lineup.
