Homeseer Switch Randomly Failing to Turn Off Lights

Hi everyone, I’m reaching out to see if anyone has encountered a similar issue with their Homeseer HS-WD100+ switch. Lately, I’ve noticed that when I command the lights off, either through an automation or a voice assistant, the lights don’t fully turn off. Instead, they remain on at about 1%, which I suspect is due to voltage bleed-through since it’s a non-LED dimmer. This issue is random, and sometimes it works as expected. When it doesn’t, I’ve resorted to manually turning the lights on and off again, but even that doesn’t always work. Now, I’ve started using the air gap method to turn them off at night, which is a bit inconvenient.

I have a few questions:

  1. Could this be a sign that the switch is failing, or is there another underlying issue? I haven’t made any changes to my wiring, but I live in a condo, so perhaps someone else could have miswired something. However, the problem only occurs with this specific switch.
  2. Are there any Zigbee or ZWave+ switches that support multi-tap functionality and could serve as a reliable replacement? I’ve had great experiences with Jasco’s warranty before, but I’m struggling to find a suitable scene-capable switch that isn’t Wi-Fi-based. While I do have a Kasa Smart Power Strip that works perfectly, I’d prefer not to install in-wall Wi-Fi devices if possible.

I considered updating the Homeseer switch’s firmware, but it’s encrypted and requires the Homeseer Firmware Loader. I have a ZWave stick, but I don’t want to disrupt my current automations. I plan to replace the switch and update it once it’s swapped out. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.
