Hi everyone, I’m reaching out for some help with my Homey Pro. It’s been a reliable hub for my smart home setup since I purchased it in 2022. However, a few days ago, I noticed that I couldn’t access it through the app or the web interface. I tried to troubleshoot the issue by following the recovery mode instructions, but I’m still stuck.
Here’s what I did:
- I turned the unit upside down as instructed and waited for the countdown. It seemed to go through the process successfully, and I was directed to start the setup in the app.
- I opened the Homey app and selected ‘Add a new Homey,’ choosing the Homey Pro model from 2016-2019.
- The configuration started but immediately terminated with an error message stating that the configuration couldn’t be initiated. I tried this on both my iPhone and iPad, but the result was the same.
- I noticed that the HomeySetup Wi-Fi SSID was visible, so the unit seems to be alive on some level.
I’m really concerned because Homey Pro has been the backbone of my smart home system. I rely on it for automations, device integration, and overall management. The thought of losing this functionality is quite distressing.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? I would greatly appreciate any advice or steps I can take to resolve this. I’m hoping the community can help me get my Homey Pro back up and running. Thanks in advance for your support!
