Hi everyone, I’m trying to figure out how to automate disabling my Reolink Argus PT Ultra wireless camera. While wired Reolink cameras have a handy privacy mode, the wireless ones don’t seem to offer the same feature. I’ve tried turning off the ‘PIR Motion Sensor’ and ‘Camera Recording’ options in the Reolink app, but it’s not quite the same as disabling the camera entirely. I also experimented with adjusting the ‘PIR Motion Sensitivity’ to the lowest setting, but that didn’t solve the issue either.
I came across some entity IDs in my system, like switch.rear_camera_push_notifications and binary_sensor.rear_camera_motion_disable, but I’m not sure how to use them in an automation. If anyone has successfully automated disabling their Reolink camera, I’d love to hear your tips or workarounds. Your insights would be a huge help!
