I’ve been exploring the automation features in Hue Essentials and wanted to share my experience setting up an automation to turn on my living room lights at sunset. It’s a simple yet effective way to enhance my evening routine!
Here’s how I did it:
- Open Hue Essentials and navigate to the Automation tab.
- Tap the + button to create a new automation.
- Name it something like “Sunset Lights”.
- Under Add event, select Day and night and choose Sunset as the trigger. You can also set the days you want this to repeat.
- For the action, I chose Toggle group and selected my living room lights, ensuring the state is set to Switch on.
- Save the automation and let it do the work!
