Hi, please be kind, I’m a newbie here and feeling daft. How do you go about changing the AA batteries on the G4 doorbell without the siren going off? Is there a setting or switch or something I’m missing?

The only way I have found is to disable Tamper Detection before you do anything else.
Device Settings → Detection Settings → Tamper Detection
