I know that Hue lights are great for creating ambiance, but I want to take it to the next level by setting up custom scenes that I can trigger with my voice or through the Hue app.
One thing I’m struggling with is how to connect multiple strips seamlessly. I’ve read that you can link them end-to-end, but I’m not entirely sure about the best practices for wiring and placement. I also want to make sure that the setup is energy-efficient and doesn’t cause any flickering or connectivity issues.
Another thing I’m curious about is creating custom scenes. I’ve heard that you can set up routines where the lights change color or brightness based on the time of day or specific activities. For example, having the lights dim to a warm yellow in the evening for relaxation or brightening up to a cool white in the morning to simulate natural light.
I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with connecting multiple Hue strips and setting up custom scenes. Do you have any tips or tricks? Have you encountered any common issues and how did you resolve them? I’m also wondering if there are any third-party apps or integrations that can help enhance the Hue experience even further.
Lastly, I’m thinking about adding some smart plugs to the mix to control other devices in the room through the Hue app. Does anyone have experience with integrating smart plugs with Hue lights?
