Hi everyone! I wanted to share a fun DIY project I recently completed to create a cozy fireplace ambiance using smart lighting. I’ve been using the Govee RGBIC Pro for a while now, and it’s amazing how it transforms my living space. However, I noticed that my T1 device wasn’t compatible with the same setup, so I decided to figure out a workaround.
After some research and experimentation, I managed to create a similar effect by adjusting the color settings and integrating it with my existing smart home setup. The result? A warm, flickering fireplace effect that completely changes the mood of my room!
Here’s how I did it:
-
Color Settings: I played around with the RGB settings to mimic the warm orange and yellow hues of a real fireplace. It took a few tries, but I nailed the perfect combination!
-
Flickering Effect: I used a simple automation rule to create a flickering effect by slightly adjusting the brightness and color temperature at random intervals. It’s subtle but adds that realistic touch.
-
Integration: I linked the lighting to my voice assistant so I can activate the fireplace mode with a simple command. It’s perfect for relaxing evenings or cozy movie nights.
I’d love to hear if anyone else has tried something similar or has tips to enhance this setup even further. Happy experimenting! ![]()
