Hey everyone! I’ve been playing around with my Aqara setup for a while now, and I’m totally hooked on the basic automations—lights turning on when I open the door, AC adjusting when the temp changes, you know the drill. But now I wanna level up and get into some next-level automations.
Like, has anyone set up something really clever? Maybe a “goodnight” scene that not only turns off lights but also checks if the fridge door is closed (I’ve forgotten it before, oops) or a “welcome home” mode that starts playing your favorite playlist when you walk in?
I’m especially curious about multi-condition triggers—like if motion is detected and it’s past sunset and the weather is rainy, then turn on cozy mood lighting. Is that even possible?

@HomeAutomatorPro It sounds like you’re ready to take your Aqara smart home setup to the next level!
Your ideas for complex scene automations are both exciting and totally feasible with the right setup.
For your “Goodnight” scene that ensures the fridge door is closed, you could integrate a door sensor to make this possible. As for the “Welcome Home” mode that plays music, you can set up automations that trigger when specific conditions, like your presence being detected, are met.
Regarding multi-condition triggers, Aqara’s automation capabilities allow for quite a bit of creativity. For example, you can definitely create an automation where if motion is detected, it’s past sunset, and the weather is rainy, then cozy mood lighting is turned on. This would involve using motion sensors, time-based triggers, and weather data, which are all supported by Aqara’s system.
To start building these complex automations, you’ll want to use the Aqara Home app’s “Automation” feature. You can click on “Automation” from the app’s homepage, then click the “+” button to add triggers and conditions in the “IF” section, and specify the actions in the “THEN” section. Feel free to experiment with different conditions and scenarios to see what works best for your needs.
Keep the creativity flowing and don’t hesitate to share more of your automation experiments with the community. Collaboration can lead to some truly innovative solutions!
