How to enable Developer Options on Panel Hub S1 Plus (MP-K03D) for ADB sideload?

Hi everyone,

I have the Aqara Panel Hub S1 Plus EU (model MP-K03D) and want to sideload an APK via ADB (wireless debugging) to turn it into an advanced control center for Home Assistant.

Issue: The standard Android method (Settings > About > 7-10x tap on Firmware Version) doesn’t work – no “About” section or Firmware Version to tap. Developer Options won’t unlock.

Device details:

  • Firmware version: 4.5.30_0036.0017
  • Region: EU
  • Aqara Home app: 6.1.0

Tried:

  • Settings > Advanced settings – no Developer/Debug options.
  • Firmware update – already on latest.

Questions:

  1. How to exactly enable Developer Options on S1 Plus? Is there a different method than standard Android?
  2. Does this model support Wireless ADB debugging over network (from laptop)?
  3. Is there a safe way to sideload APKs without root (e.g., for HA kiosk mode)?

I still looking for way how to make S1 or M3 speak as speaker via TTS over HA. Any ideas?

Back in my day we used to have to reverse engineer devices to sideload them, it was unheard of to ask the manufacturer for help.

Pull it apart, maybe there is a hidden console or eMMC. You can start looking there.
