How to make Philip Hue Lights blink when Aqara doorbell G4100 is pressed

Hello everyone,

I am trying to find solution on automation when a Aquara doorbell is pressed, Philip hue led light will blink. Ring works with IFFT but for Aqara, I am lost.

Welcome to the Forum

I don’t think the Aqara app will perform that automation. You will need to use Home Assistant or Homey for example.

If you have an Aqara Bulb that becomes an option. Which direction are you considering?

I believe there is a possible way to do so but not in the Aqara app.Im using the Apple HomeKit platform so in there it’s possible since everything is matter enabled

Yes, Aqara App is limited in automation and I am deaf and I am desperate how to connect it to Philip led. Ring is only able to connect to Philip led through IFFT

I tried home assistant but it require “bridge”. :frowning:

Yes, I tried apple home kit but home kit refuse to allow Philip hue bridge to connect to led lights

That’s odd cause through HomeKit I’m able to do a few things especially with my hue bridge…lets try something,is your hue bridge connected to HomeKit?if so try using the native hue app and try updating it.It should look something like this

If you use Matter integration with HomeKit, then you can expose “doorbell ring” as a “sensor”.

It’s not really a sensor, it will just trigger presence when certain condition is met/some trigger activates it. It basically works the same as the “WHEN” part in Aqara Automations.

  1. Connect your hub using Matter integration (you need a Matter-enabled hub for that, like the M3).
  2. Go to Profile → Connect to Ecosystems → Matter → Scene and Signal sync → Signal management
  3. Create a “signal”. It’s basically a trigger that will be visible in HomeKit as a sensor (as I explained above).
  4. Add this signal to Matter by using Signal sync.
  5. Go to Apple Home. You will have a new sensor called just like your signal (it will be added to the same room as your hub).
  6. Create an automation that triggers the Philips Hue lights when the sensor detects “presence”.
