I’ve been trying to set up an automation that turns off our hot water heater when everyone leaves the house and turns it back on when someone returns. The goal is to save some money on energy costs. I’ve followed the steps in the new person section and did some searching, but I’m stuck. I’m using Life360 for zone detection, and I’ve tried several iterations of the automation without success. The automation should trigger when all four people leave the designated zone (my house) and turn the switch back on if anyone returns. I’ve tried adjusting the conditions and triggers, but it doesn’t seem to work consistently. Has anyone successfully set up a similar automation? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I’m hoping to find a reliable solution to make this work smoothly.
