hi, I have some Aqara T2 bulbs connected to HomeKit via Thread. How do I update the firmware on these? Do the bulbs have to be connected to an Aqara hub for firmware update? If so, can the bulbs be connected to HomeKit and an Aqara hub at the same time via Thread?
Hi @scotthegr8 , Homekit supports updating matter over thread devices, but not all devices can be updated there yet.
Aqara T2 bulbs in thread mode (matter over thread) can be added to several systems at the same time, and used locally. In order to add them to other systems, you need to get the matter code in the T2 settings in the linked system and use this code to add it to the new system. (see screenshots).
To add T2 to aqara home, you need a thread border router or matter controller from aqara.
