First of all, sorry for my English, I’m using a translator because I’m very bad at it.
I received the P100 and had some trouble connecting it properly, but I finally managed. The use I wanted to make of it isn’t working. I wanted to use it to tell me the status of the cat flap my cat uses. The goal was to know if my cat has gone in or out, but I haven’t been able to configure it correctly. I’ll have to find another use for the sensor, most likely in my mailbox, but is it at least somewhat waterproof enough to stay outside in the mailbox ? Have you tested it ?

Hi @Twinust76 why did your original use case not work? If you set to object detection and motion, could it not trigger when the cat goes in or out?
The P100 is not outdoor rated. Only IP20, I believe, so cannot get wet.

I thought I could adjust the opening and closing direction of the cat flap like a Western-style door. When the cat goes out, the door opens outwards, when the cat comes in, the door opens inwards.
The sensor doesn’t indicate the opening direction, it just shows an angle without specifying which way it opens. That’s why my automation isn’t working.
No big deal, I’ll find a use for it… I’m looking…
Hello.
Maybe you can come up with a movable device for the door that will be for the P100 sensor (in monitoring mode). The sensor will give a signal “face down” or “face up” and in the closed state “vertically”.
