Hub G5 Pro WiFi Won't Connect to WiFi

I recently unplugged my WiFi and my G5 Pro and now it will not reconnect to Wi-Fi.

Wi-Fi are Eero 6 routers, I have 4 in total.

I tried unplugging and plugging back in.

I’ve tried deleting and re-adding the device, but will it will not recognise the Aqara QR code.

I have many other WiFi devices and they have all reconnected fine.

Can anyone assist / give me a contact for Aqara support please?

Thanks

David

Hello @david_jones150
What error do you see when adding G5 pro?
Try resetting the camera to factory settings and adding it again.
If it does not add, please contact support by email .
support@aqara.com

Thanks for the reply.

How do you reset the device to factory settings please?

Quickly pressing the reset button 10 times - reset to factory settings.
Holding the reset button for 10 seconds - resets the network connection.

You may be able to help by disabling Multi-Link Operation (MLO) in your eero router settings.

The Eero 6 router series was the last to be certified by Apple as “trusted routers” within the Eero system, meaning they should, in principle, be 100% compatible with both Apple and Aqara hubs.

Within the Eero mesh, the Eero app lets you see connected devices, whether they’re using IPv4 (2.4 GHz) or IPv6 (5 GHz). If, for example, the G5 Pro isn’t showing up in the Eero mesh, you may need to reposition the routers so that the G5 Pro receives full signal strength (all bars at 100%). Eero automatically analyzes the Wi-Fi spectrum and adjusts settings to optimize the signal—not to extend range, but to improve quality within its coverage area. In fact, having too many routers can sometimes cause interference between them. And if you’ve recently replaced routers, your coverage might actually be reduced.

I had a similar issue with my Aqara U200 smart lock. Since Eero works with both Ethernet and Wi-Fi, I temporarily placed a router just a meter away from the lock, reset the lock to factory settings, and reconfigured it. Once that worked, I moved the router back to its original position.

Eero can also behave in unusual ways—for example, sometimes it assigns IPv4 masks like 255.255.251.0 or 255.255.252.0 instead of the usual 255.255.255.0 across the whole network. It seems to prefer controlling the addressing scheme it set up initially, rather than adapting to what other systems might have configured.

Setting up an Eero mesh network can be a lot of work, but once it’s properly configured, it works very well.

Will give it a try thank you.

Thanks for the reply.

I have placed the camera right by the main router connected by Ethernet, but still no good.

I have a lot of other devices and only Aqara is having issues unfortunately.

You haven’t explained what steps you originally took, so it’s not possible to identify the root cause. You only mention that it used to work before.

Check the IP address of your G5 Pro camera and the IP of your main Eero router, and make sure they are in the same range.

Did you previously have a Wi-Fi network from your ISP and then extend it with an Eero mesh, simply by plugging in the Eeros? If so, you may now have two separate Wi-Fi networks:

One controlled by your ISP’s router, with an IP like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.0

Another controlled by Eero, with an IP like 192.168.4.1 or similar

In that case, you should log into your ISP’s router and either disable its Wi-Fi or change the SSID of one of the two networks.

You can also call Eero’s support team—they can run a scan of your network remotely and tell you exactly what’s wrong, at no cost.
