I tried to find out some details about the maximum distance of a zigbee device from Aqara to the hub.
When I have a weak signal strenght with the device to the M2 hub, might it become better when I switch to the M3 hub? Or will it be more or less the same?

I think it will be the same, but perhaps the antennas in M3 are more powerful. To expand coverage, use repeaters or hubs, then there shouldn’t be any problems.
M3 hub range is about 30% larger than M2 in my experience.
I’ve had much better signal strength on the M3 compared to the M2
