I recently completed my migration to Hubitat Elevation, and I must say, it’s been a fantastic experience! After years with Wink and a brief stint with SmartThings, I was hesitant to switch, especially with my 40 devices. But I’m so glad I did!
The migration process was smoother than I anticipated. I spent about 6 hours excluding devices from Wink and organizing my naming conventions. Setting up Hubitat took another 4 hours, but the payoff was worth it. One of the highlights was how quickly Hubitat discovered my Kwikset lock—under 10 seconds! Plus, the Lock Code Manager feature has been a lifesaver, eliminating the hassle of manually changing codes.
For anyone considering the switch, I highly recommend starting with basic setup and gradually integrating devices. Hubitat’s community and resources have been invaluable, and I’m excited to explore more features as I become more comfortable.
