Hi everyone, I’ve been using Hubitat for about a year now to control my lighting setup, and it’s been a great experience overall. I have around 15 Leviton Z-Wave switches installed, all within 25 feet of the hub, which should ensure solid communication. I primarily use it for creating relaxing evening scenes and a goodnight routine, which I access through dashboards on my phone and tablet, as well as a handy button wall switch. However, I’ve encountered an issue that’s been a bit frustrating and I’m hoping the community can offer some insights or solutions.
The problem I’m facing is that when I activate a scene, it doesn’t consistently trigger all the devices in the setup. Typically, I have to execute the scene multiple times before everything responds as expected. Interestingly, I can manually adjust any stubborn devices through the app, which means the hub can see them—it’s just not controlling them reliably from the scene. I’ve also been diligent about updating the hub firmware regularly, so it’s not a software issue.
I’m really curious if others have experienced similar challenges with scene activation and if there are any best practices or troubleshooting steps I might have missed. Maybe there’s a configuration tweak or a plugin that could help improve the reliability of my scenes.
