Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a fun little story about how Hubitat helped me uncover an issue I never even thought about. I recently installed humidity sensors in both of my bathrooms and connected them to smart switches controlling the exhaust fans. I set up the Hubitat app to automatically turn on the fans when humidity levels exceed a certain threshold, and for kicks, I also plotted the humidity levels on Hubigraph.
After a few days, I noticed something interesting. In Bathroom 1, the humidity dropped quickly after the fan kicked in, which was great. But in Bathroom 2, the humidity stayed high for much longer. This made me wonder if there was something wrong with the fan in Bathroom 2. Turns out, the fan cover was dirty! I cleaned it, and the humidity levels started dropping much faster. It was a simple fix, but without Hubitat, I might have never noticed the issue.
This experience really highlighted how smart home technology can uncover hidden problems and help improve efficiency. It’s amazing how data can tell such a clear story! I can’t wait to see what other insights Hubitat will provide in the future.
