Hue Bridge IP Address Issue Solved

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my experience with the Hue bridge IP address issue I encountered recently. After an update, my bridge suddenly had two different IP addresses—one in the Hue Essential app and another in the Philips Hue app. It was quite confusing, especially since the bridge wasn’t working properly in the Hue Essential app. I decided to dig into the problem and figure out a solution.

First, I checked the network settings on my router to see if there were any conflicts or duplicate IP addresses assigned. After some research, I realized that the Hue Essential app might not be recognizing the correct IP address due to a caching issue. I tried resetting the app and re-adding the bridge, which worked! The bridge now has a single, stable IP address in both apps, and everything is running smoothly.

I also found out that keeping the Hue app updated is crucial for avoiding such issues in the future. If anyone else is experiencing similar problems, I recommend checking your router settings and ensuring all apps are up to date. It’s a relief to have my smart lights working again without any hiccups!

Happy smart home tinkering everyone! :rocket:
