I’ve been using several Hue motion sensors (both indoor and outdoor) through the app Philips Hue without the bridge for several years now. Overall, they’ve been reliable, but I’ve encountered a recurring issue with disconnections. Typically, I can resolve this by deleting and reinstalling the sensor, though it’s quite annoying. However, recently one of my outdoor sensors disconnected just a few hours after being fixed, rendering it unusable.
I’ve considered purchasing a Hue bridge and switching to the official Hue app to potentially resolve this issue. However, I’m concerned because it appears that outdoor motion sensors aren’t supported in the official app. Is this accurate?
