I want to use sensors for to automatically turn on/off lighting in my home

I have used the motion section/presence in Echo Dot devices. But these are only… okay. There were times it would take a lot of motion before it was trigger the automation. Then another device would trigger really easy, even if I just walked past the open doorway in the room.
Then there were flaws with the unoccupied trigger. It required no movement or anything for 30 minutes, which is a little bit excessive. And then I found that with the way I had it placed in my living room, when I laid on the couch, it wouldn’t pick up my motion and turn off my lights.

I’m new to Aqara, so I would love to hear how their sensors may be better suited for my automation needs!

I use an FP1 to control a couple of lights in my home office: a Philips Hue bulb and Philips Hue plug that has a lamp plugged into it. Works very well and responds quickly upon entering the room. The light goes off after I’ve been out of the office for 10 minutes.
