IFTTT and Hubitat Integration Success Story

I’ve been experimenting with integrating IFTTT with Hubitat to control my Teckin Wi-Fi plugs, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey! At first, I was a bit overwhelmed, but now I’m thrilled to share how I got everything up and running smoothly. :tada:

Initially, I wasn’t sure how to set up the virtual device in Hubitat. I followed the instructions, created a virtual switch, and authorized it through the Hubitat app. Then, I jumped into IFTTT, linked both the Hubitat and Smart Life skills, and tried to set up a simple routine. But here’s the catch—I couldn’t get past the loading screen when selecting my virtual switch in IFTTT. It was frustrating, to say the least.

After some research and troubleshooting, I realized I needed to ensure that my Hubitat setup was fully integrated with IFTTT. I double-checked the status in both apps, made sure all permissions were correctly set, and even restarted both devices to rule out any connectivity issues. Finally, it clicked! The virtual switch appeared in IFTTT, and I could proceed with setting up my routine. :dart:

Now, I have a seamless setup where I can control multiple Teckin plugs through Hubitat and IFTTT. It’s amazing how a little persistence and problem-solving can turn a tricky setup into a smooth operation. If anyone else is struggling with similar issues, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d be happy to help! :bulb:

Here’s to more smart home adventures! :rocket:
