IFTTT and Wyze Motion Sensor Integration for Smart Lighting

Hey everyone, I’m really excited to share my recent project with the Wyze motion sensor and IFTTT integration for my kitchen lights! :star2: I’ve managed to get the lights to turn on when motion is detected, which is fantastic. However, I’m looking for some tips to make this setup even smarter.

Currently, I have the lights set to activate when motion is detected, but I’d love to add a time-based restriction. Specifically, I want the lights to only turn on between 10 AM and 5 PM. This would prevent the lights from coming on unnecessarily during the night or early morning.

Another feature I’d love to implement is an automatic shut-off after 10 minutes of no motion. This way, if I forget to turn off the lights, they’ll turn off on their own, saving energy.

I’m using IFTTT to connect the Wyze motion sensor to my Smart Life lights, but I’m not sure how to add these additional layers of automation. If anyone has experience with similar setups or knows of any workarounds, I’d be super grateful for your insights!

It would also be amazing if the lights could adjust their brightness based on the time of day or ambient light levels. For example, brighter lights during the day and softer lighting in the evening.

I’m really curious to see how others have tackled similar projects. Have you integrated motion sensors with IFTTT in creative ways? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have! :rocket:
