I am testing new IKEA Alpstuga air quality sensor for CO2, PM2.5, humidity and temperature. After a few failed attempts to register this matter sensor with Aqara hub M3, I have finally added it to hub accessories.
What was not a very good surprise, only air quality sensor has shown up in my accessories. So no exact numbers for CO2, PM2.5, humidity nor temperature values.
I’ve seen a video on YouTube where a guy paired it with Home Assistant hub and it displayed all values for all types of sensor it has.
What have I done wrong? What is your experience with Alpstuga sensor by IKEA (inside or outside Aqara ecosystem)?
@petriq You seem to be experiencing an issue with the IKEA Alpstuga air quality sensor not displaying all values (CO2, PM2.5, humidity, temperature) when paired with Aqara Hub M3. You can contact customer support for assistance. Contact the Aqara Home App Customer Service Team (Profile> Help & Feedback > Customer Service) or scan the QR code:
Hallo @mirco_lammert , denke mal dass das erst mit der Implementierung des Matter Standards 1.5 kommt… wann das komplett umgesetzt wird ist noch nicht wirklich offiziell- geplant aber sollte es Q1 26- aber welche Hubs das als erstes bekommen wird … keine Ahnung
UPDATE: I updated the ALPSTUGA firmware to v1.0.15 and, at least, the Aqara Home app now shows updated value of Air Quality, until now it only displayed always “Clean”.
What worries me is that I had to connect it to Apple Home first to be able to download and install new version of firmware (via Apple Home app).
Does Aqara Home app (M3 hub) provide updates from 3rd party matter devices, doesn’t it?
