Hi everyone,
I’ve been having an issue with my Ikea Tradfri bulbs that’s been really annoying, especially with the recent power outages in my area. Whenever the power comes back on, the bulbs turn themselves on, which is great in theory, but in practice, it’s been a bit of a nightmare. I have three bulbs installed, and every time the power cuts out and then comes back, they’re all on, even if I had them off before the outage.
This has been particularly problematic at night. Imagine waking up to a bright light in the middle of the night because the power just came back on! It’s not the most pleasant way to start the day. I’m planning to expand my setup to include two more rooms, but this behavior is making me hesitant. I really need a way to ensure that when the power returns, the bulbs revert to their previous state, whether that’s on or off.
I’ve tried a few things to address this. I’ve checked the bulb settings on the Ikea app, but I don’t see any option related to power恢复. I’ve also looked into the Hue app, since I’m using a Hue bridge, but I don’t see any settings there that would help either. I’m not sure if this is something that can be fixed through the app or if it’s a hardware limitation.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with their Ikea Tradfri bulbs? I’d love to hear if there’s a solution or workaround that I can implement. Maybe there’s a setting I’m missing or a way to program the bulbs to remember their state before the power outage.
In the meantime, I’m considering using smart plugs to control the bulbs, but that feels like an unnecessary extra step. I’d prefer to find a way to make the bulbs work as intended without adding more devices to my setup.
Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Nick
