Improving Range of IQ Flood Sensors: My Experience and Tips

Hey everyone, I recently purchased a set of IQ Flood sensors to monitor different areas of my home, but I’ve run into an issue with their range. I placed some upstairs in the attic and others downstairs in the basement, but unfortunately, none of them are being detected by the panel. This is quite frustrating because the panel can pick up window and door sensors from much farther away. Has anyone else experienced this problem with IQ Flood sensors? Or do you know of a different water sensor with better range that I could consider as an alternative?I’ve tried a few things to improve the range, like moving the sensors closer to the panel and ensuring there are no physical obstructions. However, the attic and basement setups seem to be the main culprits. I wonder if there’s a way to boost the signal or if there are specific placement tips that could help. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s successfully used these sensors in similar setups or found a reliable workaround. In the meantime, I’m researching other water detection options that might offer better range and reliability. If you have any recommendations or insights, I’d greatly appreciate your input! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out with these smart home devices.
