Infrared Blaster scenes in HomeKit

I’m new to Aqara and recently got the M3 hub for its integration with HomeKit (HK) to replace my old Smartthings Hub. One of the things that intrigued me with the M3 hub is its powerful infrared blaster built into the hub. The closest thing I have to that now is an old Logitech Harmony hub, but it’s not powerful enough to reach my fans in the same room. This thing does no problem!

I took it further and created Scenes in Aqara to control not only fans (including Dyson), but my home theater equipment (TV, Denon receiver, etc.). I then synced these scenes into HomeKit (since no native integration available in HK for these devices) and now I can control my fans and AVR receiver in Control Center on iOS and TVOS quite easily! Very handy to switch inputs when I want to watch my Fire TV Stick and I can do that on Apple TV in Control Center (and then just use my voice to go back to Apple TV via Alexa integration). Love how I can also turn on/off my fans now too when watching TV (I no longer have to grab that separate remote). :sunglasses:

I had absolutely no idea the M3 hub had this functionality… I have an IR only fan in my living room which I have considering replacing because I wanted to be able to control it with homekit, now maybe I dont need to! I just need to move my hub.

Nice! It sounds crazy but my IR blaster sets off my automatic hand soap pump nearby in my bathroom, so that’s fun.
