I recently purchased the Inovelli LZW31-SN dimmer for my home, and I must say, it’s been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. However, like many new devices, it came with a few initial hurdles that I wanted to share and discuss with the community.
First off, the installation was straightforward, especially since it didn’t require a neutral wire in my setup. But the real challenge began when I noticed some flickering lights and unusual behavior from the dimmer itself. I was using it with a fixed LED module ceiling light, which doesn’t have interchangeable bulbs, so I wasn’t sure if the issue was with the dimmer or the light fixture itself.
After some research and trial and error, I found that setting the light level to a specific point seemed to stabilize things. I also came across a suggestion in some forums about using an Actiontec bypass to address the flickering. While I haven’t tried this yet, it’s something I’m considering if the flickering persists.
Another thing I wanted to figure out was how to set the switch to a strict on/off mode without any dimming. I reached out to the community and found some helpful tips on adjusting the settings to achieve this. It’s been a learning process, but I’m really happy with how it’s turning out.
I’d love to hear from others who have experience with this dimmer. How did you handle similar issues? Any additional tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated! ![]()
