Installing smart flood lights has been a fantastic way to enhance my backyard’s ambiance. I recently decided to upgrade my outdoor lighting system with Govee’s H7060 RGBICWW Smart Flood Lights, and I wanted to share my experience in case anyone else is considering a similar project. The process started with planning. I knew I wanted to illuminate my pool’s feature wall and the surrounding retaining wall and fence. Measuring was crucial to determine how many lights I needed and where to place them. I opted for a symmetrical layout to ensure even lighting without any dark spots.Preparation was the next step. I had to extend a power source to the back retaining wall, which involved running about 60 feet of 3/4” PVC conduit. This was a bit time-consuming, but it ensured a stable power supply. I installed a weatherproof box with a GFCI outlet to keep everything safe and compliant.Installation day was exciting. The flood lights come with stakes, making them easy to position. I adjusted them to cover the desired areas and connected them to the power supply using the provided cables. The lights are weatherproof, so I didn’t worry about moisture affecting their performance.Testing was the final step. I powered them on and played with the RGB settings to find the perfect color combination. The lights can be adjusted 360 degrees, which is a great feature for fine-tuning the coverage. This project has completely transformed my backyard. The lights not only provide security but also add a touch of elegance. I highly recommend Govee’s flood lights for anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor lighting system. The installation was straightforward, and the results are stunning. If you’re planning something similar, remember to measure carefully, ensure a stable power supply, and take your time with the placement. Happy lighting!
