Integrating Aeon Labs Z-Wave Switches for Outdoor Lighting Control

Hey everyone, I’m Matthew, and I’m working on a DIY project to upgrade my outdoor lighting system. I have four dual PAR38 flood lights, and with the deck renovation, I want more flexibility in controlling them. Right now, they’re all on a single switch, which isn’t ideal. I thought about removing the switch and using a scene switch that works with SmartThings, but I want to ensure I can control each light individually. I came across the Aeon Labs Z-Wave Micro Dimmer and Switch, and I’m curious if they can be used without connecting to a physical switch. I found two models on Amazon, one with and one without the Energy Illuminator. I’m wondering if SmartThings can read the energy data from the Energy Illuminator model out of the box or if I need to set up custom devices. I also want to confirm if these devices will work seamlessly with my setup. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
