Integrating Areas with Light Control in OpenHAB

I’ve been exploring the capabilities of OpenHAB and have set up several Areas for the main rooms in my house. I’ve also created light entities using templates, but I’m curious if there’s a way to associate these light entities directly with the Areas. From what I understand, the UI only allows devices to be associated with Areas, not entities. Additionally, I’m interested in whether Areas can have a state, such as ‘occupied’ or ‘unoccupied’, which could be used to control the lights based on the area’s state, light levels, or the time of day. I’ve looked through the documentation and UI, but haven’t found a clear solution. I’ve heard about the Wasp-in-a-Box integration in HACS, but I’m hoping to start with a simpler setup. The idea of using the Area’s state or an attribute for light control seems promising, but I’m not sure how to implement it without additional sensors. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
