Hey everyone! I wanted to share some of my experiences and tips after integrating my Arlo cameras into my SmartThings setup. Recently, I’ve been working on integrating my Arlo cameras into my SmartThings ecosystem. I was curious about whether I could fully integrate them without needing the Arlo base station. After some research and trial and error, I found that the Arlo Pro models work seamlessly with SmartThings. I was particularly impressed by how smoothly the integration went and how it enhanced my home security setup. Another thing I wanted to touch on is a common issue I’ve heard about with SmartThings, particularly regarding devices renaming themselves or changing locations. I noticed this happening recently after an update, and it was a bit confusing at first. However, I found that backing up my configurations and carefully reviewing the update notes helped mitigate some of these issues. If anyone else is experiencing similar problems, I’d suggest reaching out to the support forums or checking for any recent firmware updates.
Lastly, I wanted to share a quick tip for those dealing with smart lighting and dashboards. I recently had an issue where certain cards wouldn’t adjust their width properly in my dashboard. After some tweaking, I realized that turning off the visibility of certain devices (like smart bulbs) in the cards helped with the layout. It’s a small fix, but it made a big difference in how my dashboard looks!
