Hi everyone, I’m thrilled to share my recent journey of integrating my Belkin WeMo Switches with Homematic. For years, I’ve relied on Homematic for seamless home automation, but I still have these trusty WeMo Switches from the early days of smart home tech. While they’ve served me well, controlling them via the app has always been a bit cumbersome. I decided it was time to bring them into the Homematic ecosystem for a more streamlined experience.
After some research, I discovered that these switches can be controlled via a URL command, which is something the CCU can handle. The challenge was figuring out the exact command structure. I scoured the web, poked around the app, and even looked into XML files mentioned in some forums. It was a bit of a puzzle, but I’m happy to say I cracked it!
By setting up a simple URL command in the CCU, I can now control my WeMo Switches right alongside my Homematic devices. It’s such a relief to have everything in one place. I’d love to hear if anyone else has done something similar or has tips for optimizing this setup. The integration has been smooth, and I’m excited to expand my smart home even further. Thanks for reading, and happy automating! ![]()
