Hi everyone, I’ve been exploring ways to repurpose my Bose Bluetooth speaker for dual purposes: as a door sensor chime and for severe weather alerts. Both functions would be managed through SmartThings, but I’m curious if this is feasible without needing to invest in a Z-Wave or Zigbee speaker.
I’ve set up the door sensor chime using a simple automation, but I’m not sure how to integrate the weather alerts seamlessly. Would love to hear if anyone has successfully used a Bluetooth speaker for similar purposes or if there are any workarounds to achieve this.
It would be fantastic to consolidate my devices and avoid adding another smart speaker to the mix. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!
