Hi everyone, I’m currently working on integrating my home security and automation systems. I’ve recently acquired a couple of Ecolink door sensors and am trying to connect them to my security panel. However, I’m encountering an issue where the security system isn’t registering the doors as closed. This is puzzling because when I test the sensors without the panel, they function correctly. I suspect the problem lies with the panel itself, but I’m not entirely sure.
I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps, including general and normal exclusions, as well as resetting the locks. Unfortunately, none of these have resolved the issue. I’m now considering whether there’s a way to configure the sensors so that both my security provider and SmartThings can utilize them effectively.
While researching, I came across an Arduino shield that seems promising, but it’s currently out of stock. I’m curious if anyone has successfully integrated Ecolink sensors with their security system and if there are any tips or workarounds they could share. Your insights would be greatly appreciated!
